So tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have declined all offers to have dinner. I decided I’d prefer to be alone, and that is really bothering my family. If the shoe were on the other foot.
Over the weekend, I went to get a hair cut. I had gone in the day before, insisting that I wanted to chop it all off “Up to HERE!” I said, pointing to a place just below my earlobe. Michel, my long-time hairdresser laughed at me and told me she’d make me an appointment for Saturday, and that I better sleep on my idea. (more…)

Toppled.
Do any of you remember this game? You could play with 2-4 players, each taking turns to place their piece onto the “board”. I remember wanting to be brave and put my pieces on the outer edges (where you could score more points)…but it always seemed that I was the person who toppled the game. (more…)

New problems, old friends.
I’ve had my “new” computer for six months. Until my building got struck by lighting in August, I had no trouble with the computer at all. I replaced the motherboard after that incident, and the computer has been fine. This past Sunday night I started thinking that the computer was running a little slow, but then I realized it had been on for about a week without a reboot. I use my computer as my alarm clock, so I didn’t want to shut down for the night, but decided I would reboot Monday morning. (more…)

Could’ve been worse.
I wanted a nice, quiet weekend without stress or pressure, and with a couple minor exceptions I got exactly what I wanted. I think my crazy neighbor has gone off his meds again, and has taken to knocking on my door at all hours of the day and night. (more…)
