My apartments are being sold. The new owners are coming tomorrow morning to inspect their recent purchase, and our property manager sent a memo earlier this week letting us know to be prepared. I haven’t cleaned…and I certainly can’t leave my collection of shoes in my living room. Actually, I could, if I wanted to be a bitch…but I’d like to be on friendly terms with these people.
However, instead of getting ready for this inspection, I’ve done a hundred other things. I replied to an email that my aunt sent. I called my dad, twice. I brushed my cat. I chatted, and drew, and chatted more. I dealt with my crazy neighbor knocking on my door, demanding that I call the police for him. Then, I dealt with the police who came to deal with the crazy neighbor situation. I’m not sure where the other sane neighbors were, so I was outnumbered: Crazies, 4; Sane-ish, 1.
I consoled my sweet friend Tony who might be a bigger bleeding heart than I am. He’s wise beyond his years in matters of the heart, and he’s brilliant with giving advice, but he’s also a glutton for punishment, and doesn’t take his own advice to heart. He’s a classic “nice guy” who has had his heart smashed by his first true love, and keeping my mind busy with ways to help him keeps me from thinking about other things.
I caught up with my lovely friend Celia who has been woefully neglected this week while I’ve been sidetracked with other issues. I also caught up with the national and local news. Is there ever anything good going on in the world?
I also updated my other blog, which I’ve been keeping a secret for…over a week. I wasn’t sure when I started it if I could stick to it and keep up both blogs…but I’m pretty sure now that I’ll be fine, so I don’t mind sharing it here. It’s nothing special really, just the dream log that I’ve been meaning to start for quite a while. Anyway, there’s a link on the sidebar, or you can just go here.
So, now that all of my diversions are either sleeping, or dealt with…I guess it’s time for me to clean my apartment and then sleep. it’s only 1:05, no big deal. :S
