This was the longest day…ever!
First, I woke up at 7:45 to the sound of crunching aluminum cans. Apparently our electricity was out (again), and if the man who collects cans out of the garbage outside my apartment hadn’t been there, I might have slept until who knows when. (more…)
My History test was a big reminder that I’m actually in college now. There were 50 questions. Yeah, it was stuff we’ve already covered. Yeah, it was multiple choice. Yeah, I probably could have aced it if I had studied a little harder…but my mind has been in other places. My focus isn’t there. I won’t have the score until Wednesday, but I’ve already decided I’ll be happy with a B. (more…)
I’m not a fan of golf, but when you’ve got a huge golf star like Tiger Woods pitted against the 158th ranked player in the world…it turns into a bit of a Cinderella story. The sales staff in my office has been riveted to the sports tickers, and every now and again an epithet is murmured, just above a whisper. (more…)
